Arbuckle Truck Driving School (ATDS) offers comprehensive CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) training programs designed to prepare students for a career in the trucking industry. Founded in 2002, Arbuckle provides specialized, hands-on training with a focus on safety and professionalism. The school operates two locations in Oklahoma: Ardmore and Tulsa.

Programs Offered

Arbuckle’s Class A CDL program is designed to provide students with both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. The program includes:

  • Classroom sessions covering truck driving regulations and safety.
  • Hands-on driving training on a private training range, followed by road training on public highways.
  • Training in idle shifting, maneuvering, and handling a tractor-trailer in various real-world conditions.

The program typically lasts 4 weeks and includes about 130 hours of in-truck training. Students are expected to complete 500 miles of driving under the supervision of instructors.

Accreditation and Financial Aid

Arbuckle Truck Driving School is licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety and is accredited by organizations such as the Veterans Association. The school offers various forms of financial assistance, including:

  • Veterans Education Benefits, including the GI Bill®.
  • Tribal and Vocational Rehabilitation grants.
