Arbuckle Truck Driving School (ATDS) offers comprehensive CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) training programs designed to prepare students for a career in the trucking industry. Founded in 2002, Arbuckle provides specialized, hands-on training with a focus on safety and professionalism. The school operates two locations in Oklahoma: Ardmore and Tulsa.
Programs Offered
Arbuckle’s Class A CDL program is designed to provide students with both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. The program includes:
- Classroom sessions covering truck driving regulations and safety.
- Hands-on driving training on a private training range, followed by road training on public highways.
- Training in idle shifting, maneuvering, and handling a tractor-trailer in various real-world conditions.
The program typically lasts 4 weeks and includes about 130 hours of in-truck training. Students are expected to complete 500 miles of driving under the supervision of instructors.
